Your children will have the opportunity to participate in field trips to help them farther explore their community and environment outside of the Center. The Center will rely on parent volunteers to help drive to and from field trips.

In the event of a field trip the following measures will be taken:

Each child will be in either a child restraint system or using a seat belt, depending on age and weight.
A first aid box goes with all field trips.
A teacher who has current first aid, recognition of communicable disease and CPR training will accompany each group on these trips.
Each child attending the field trip will have identification attached to him or her which includes the Center's name,
address and telephone number.
All parent drivers on the field trips must show proof of a valid drivers license and proof of liability insurance.
Permission slips signed and dated by the parent or guardian must be returned before a child can attend the trip.
Staff/ Child ratio will be maintained.
Children will be assigned to a specific staff member for each trip.
Attendance records will be taken and monitored.
NO child will be left unattended in a vehicle.
A second adult will be needed for a vehicle of 7 or more children.

Children will also participate in walking field trips near and around the Center:

Parents will be required to sign a permission slip:     Walking Field Trip Permission Slip
An additional staff member will accompany groups of 7 or more children.
