During the summer months, children have the opportunity to participate in swimming or other water activities. Preschoolers and toddlers will participate in these activities that do not exceed 2 feet of water. (A written permission form is not required for water play under 2 feet.)

School age children will also have the opportunity to participate in swimming and water activities that do exceed 2 feet of water in depth. Parents will be required to fill out a swimming/water activity permission form indicating that their child has permission to participate, and whether their child is a swimmer or non-swimmer, and the date and location of the event. All parents will be notified of the event prior to filling out the permission forms. The minimum staff ration will be maintained during these events that are set by the Ohio Jobs and Family Services. Children will be supervised at all times, and at least one staff member will be certified in CPR, First Aid, Recognition of Communicable Diseases and Recognition of Child Abuse. A first aid kit, permission forms for each child as well as the child's Emergency and Heath Forms will be taken to each activity. (Any swimming or water play that does not exceed 2 feet does not require a permission form.)
